I don't want to get the credit for capturing it.”

Joab was a powerful general, but he wanted his king to get the credit for winning the war - not himself. He knew where his authority came from and where he placed his loyalty.

He fought for David and he wanted David to get the credit for the victory. As for me, I live for Jesus and I ought to give credit to him.
