Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise.

And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.

God chose things despised by the world,
things counted as nothing at all,
and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.

As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.

Recently I heard a preacher gave testimony of God healing many people during revivals. He made jokes about other denominations; or I think those are jokes. And I think he underestimated God's work through other people.

If it is God's will for us to perform miracles, praise him. If it is his will for us to teach, praise God. If it is God's will for us to do social work, praise him.

Whatever we do, what is important is that we are in God's will.
