Judging others

Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged. (Matthew 7.1-2 NLT)

Some cultures are more vocal about "judging others" as you can see from their posts in internet platforms or their television programs. And some cultures are more reserved about their way of doing it. Still, most people judge others in their heart or mind even if they are not outspoken about it.

Many times, this comes automatically when we see someone doing or saying something that we perceive to be "wrong" against a standard of right and wrong that we prescribe to. Like when we consider what he/she is doing is "sin".

But I am a sinner. And you are a sinner, too. We all are.

"Do you think it matters to Jesus that my list of sins is not the same as the other person's? That seems pretty irrelevant. Mine cost him his life, just as the other person's did."

~ Rebecca Manley Pippert, "Hope Has Its Reasons"

Jesus died on the cross for sinners. What would we do for sinners? The least we could do is to not judge them.
