"Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light." (Matthew 11.28-30 NLT)

I have always wondered about this passage. Living for Jesus is not "easy".

I think life in general is difficult because of my perspectives on life. Fear, envy, and pride burden and complicate my life. But Jesus has none of them.

And his yoke has none of them either. That is why it is easy and light.

I need to let go the yoke of fear, envy, and pride. In its place, I should take Jesus' yoke.
