Two types of complaint
I categorise complaints into two types.
First is "constructive" complaints.
I am using Cambridge Dictionary as my reference definition. In constructive complaints, I complain to someone else about something that I think need to be fixed or changed. In other words, something can be done about it. And it can be done in constructive manner.
Second is "rhetorical" complaints.
In rhetorical complaints, I complain about something that I can do nothing about. I simply feel annoyed at it, but cannot change it. For example, "why is the traffic jam so bad today" or "why does it rain again today". I am merely expressing my annoyance.
But to the listeners, this can change the mood. Maybe unintentionally, but it can still affect others. Negative thoughts when expressed out loud can make the mood negative for others. And also for the speaker.
Lord,
help me filter the thoughts
that come out through my mouth.
May they bless others
and glorify you.
