Simple life
Any which way I look at it, Jesus led a simple life while he was on earth.
“Foxes have holes, and birds have nests,
but the Son of Man has nowhere to lie down and rest.”
(Matthew 8.20 GNB)
Why is it difficult for me as his follower to follow his simple life?
Because I listened to my fear, envy, and pride more than his teachings. This led to choices which then led to other choices. And thus life is not as simple as it can be.
"Simple life" is not the goal - it is the side effect. If I let Jesus be the centre of my life, life becomes simpler.
