To be in a desperate situation is very uncomfortable. And to be desperate for God's help means I am in deep trouble - only God can help get me out of it.

But is it ever good to not rely on God alone? To turn to something or someone other than God takes me away from God, does it not?

So if the only way to keep me focused on him for my source of provision and strength is by way of a desperate situation, then maybe this is his way of keeping me safe. Safe from my self, pride, or any idol.

This sure is very uncomfortable, but God I trust you.
