Every day I face moments of choice. Frequently unconsciously, but choice nonetheless. Out of the myriad of choices, I frequently chose to optimise for a better future.

Unconsciously, I chose that due to my uncertainty of the future and I wanted to maximise my chances of “success” in the future.

Not from lack of trust in God, but more from a desire to control my destiny. And taking control for myself also means I am not letting God be in control.

But God knows infinitely more than me and he loves me. And he gives good gifts. It would be much better for me if he takes control of my life.
