Nothing in, nothing out (2)

"What did we bring into the world? Nothing! What can we take out of the world? Nothing! ... But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and are caught in the trap of many foolish and harmful desires, which pull them down to ruin and destruction.

For the love of money is a source of all kinds of evil. Some have been so eager to have it that they have wandered away from the faith and have broken their hearts with many sorrows."

(1 Timothy 6.7-10 GNB)

Many people want to accumulate as much wealth as they could, although they and their family already have more than enough for the rest of their lives and more. They accumulate not because of need, but because of their love of wealth and what they perceive wealth entails.

The pursuit of wealth for wealth sake is not good for them. And cumulatively, this also creates excess in pockets of the world while there are so many who are in need in other parts. It will be better if the excess is used to help the poor, but then again it is complicated.

We all have free will and we desire things. It is better that I surrender my will and desire to the Lord and let him have his way in my life.

Nothing in and nothing out, but hopefully not no impact. I want my life to have positive impact in other people's lives, for the glory of God.
