I wonder if Eve and Adam thought that they themselves were as important as God when the snake offered “... when you eat [the fruit of that tree] you will be like God and know what is good and what is bad.” (Genesis 3.5 GNB)

"If I am as important as God, I want to know what God knows and do what God does." Or "I do not want to be limited; I want to do whatever I want, just like God."

Bad idea. You and I are not God.
