The universe seems infinite and has existed for so long, with all its complexities, that it seems a bit removed from the concept of a personal God who took the initiative for personal relationships with mankind. Intimate individual relationships at that.

The kind of intimate relationship that forgives regardless of past crimes and mistakes, that is patient, that is humble, and that loves unconditionally.

And the promise of the almighty God of the universe can be trusted. He created and has maintained this universe for so long - he is certainly able to - and will - keep his words.
