Christianity is a label of generalisation and identity. Not all Christians are like those people I read on the news. To know what Christians are supposed to look like, one needs to understand the Bible.

Some Christians attract news with their words and actions, given their position in society. And despite their words and actions not being Christlike, these people are the subject for the news outlets and thus promote a certain reputation of Christianity that is different from the Gospels.

Insecurity, greed, and selfishness can make some Christians think and do things that are not according to Jesus' teachings. Insecurity, greed, and selfishness are the parallels of fear, envy, and pride. I ought to be conscious of them and avoid them as best I can.
