What is the essence of divinity? What makes God, God? Why do I believe that? Different faiths have different perspectives on the attributes of God and Christianity is rather specific about this. Christian teachings frame my understanding of God and how I relate to God.
But my relationship with God, sometimes, is unexplainable by Christian theology. This is not a verdict on the theology, because relationship is not just headspace.
Theology is mankind trying to understand God. Relationship is God reaching out to me to help me understand him. My encounter with God is what defines my relationship with him.
