Which “better” is better? (2)

I grew up working hard - it was part of the work ethic. "Why play when you can do something useful?" was the underlying message from my dad when I was small. Now I have fully appreciated the joy and need of doing something fun - it is useful actually.

I frequently forget that and keep wanting to do something productive. And I realise I sometimes also expect the same from others.

God has gracefully reminded me that he looks at things differently. He takes the long view - he works in the timeframe of decades and lifetimes. What the world considers "better" may not be better for me or those around me.

I ought to surrender everything to God and learn to enjoy the trip.
