Fear the LORD
"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew 10.28 ESV)
And what if someone does not believe there is hell at all?
That is tricky. Death is a one-way street. Once you are on the other side, what if you find out that it turns out there is hell? You cannot turn back time and redo everything.
Rather than living as if there is no hell, it is better to live as if there is. But live in a manner that is enjoyable too.
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom." (Proverbs 9.10 ESV) Living for the LORD is joyful! And the LORD looks with favour those who fear him and blesses them.
