Obedience and humility
It is hard to obey a rule or regulation when we disagree with it or disrespect it. I may think, "it is a stupid rule or misguided regulation", so why should I obey it?
But as long as I am a subject under the jurisdiction, then I am obliged to obey the rule or regulation, if I do not want to face the negative consequence.
Obedience to God is often like that. "Oh come on God, that command or that verse does not apply in this specific case of mine. I am going to ignore it."
Am I that special that I can pick and chose which command or verse apply to me?
No, definitely not.

help me to be humble
and obey you joyfully.
