Jesus said, “Leave her alone! Let her keep what she has for the day of my burial. You will always have poor people with you, but you will not always have me.”

(John 12.7-8 GNB)

If all the wealth in the world is distributed evenly, the rich will have significantly less and all the poor will be better off. In aggregate, the world may become a better place.

But we may never know.

Let us honour God with what we have, but not forgetting the poor.
