Not always more
This popular verse can be misapplied: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men." (Colossians 3.23 ESV)
Note the Lord did not say “so you can get promoted quicker, be rewarded better, be wealthier, or be happier”.
“For the Lord” means exactly that: for him, not for me. He decides, not me.
“More” is not the point. The entirety of my life is “for the Lord”. There are times when he says “enough” and he wants me to enjoy him. And my family and friends. And stop worrying about “more”.
