Wiithout the rest (5)
FOMO, fear of missing out, makes us chasing for stuffs or experiences that are not essential. Usually something that we see others have or hear others "brag". Be it in media or in our social real-life circles. We think that seems really nice. I am missing out on life, if I do not have it. Let me "improve my life" by doing that too, whatever "that" is.
Certainly I am responsible over my own life and to proactively improve it is better than being passive. But FOMO is not a good place to start. It is like chasing the wind.
God will always provide for what I need. The rest, i.e. what I want beyond what I need - is not guaranteed. By definition, something I do not need is unnecessary.
He wants me to focus on him. He is the centre of my life. Anything that distracts me from him is not only unnecessary, but unwanted.
Dear God
please help me focus on you
