Continuous renewal
Some people are very easily offended. Talking with them feels like walking on thin ice - a slight miss and down I fall into deep icy water.
I understand nurture and environment can make someone bitter and all that, but for Jesus' followers, there is new life and continuous renewal. And yet, some followers cling to their old selves ever so tightly, preventing them to transform fully into the "new creation" in Christ (2 Corinthians 5.17). Maybe they think they are perfect just the way they are.
I cannot change others. It is hard enough to change myself, so that is that.
Oh Holy Spirit
please help me be self-aware
and help me hear your voice always
to continually renew my self
so my words and behaviours
reflect Jesus
